| Little League...Follow the latest! |
| |
Parents, Yes, I am still around…Hope everyone had a great holiday – Baseball and softball are coming awful fast so make sure you register before January 15th.
I also want to share some info that is going on in Little League. Please read the entire email – the first part is focused on the social media – and the second part is a major announcement coming for Little League.
We do not know what this announcement is but guesses from around the World include adding a 4 yrs old division, adding a 50/70, creating a new age division in between other divisions, adding 15 yrs old to JR – there are so many suggestions and guesses – it is very cool to be able to have input to a world wide sport and talk directly with the people that run Little League – no other kids sport even comes close to this….
To find out more and find out how to follow this please read the following 2 emails…
Tracy W.
First – I received this email:
Earlier this year, Little League International entered the world of 'social media' with the creation of Twitter and Facebook pages. Recently specialty Facebook and Twitter pages were created for Little League Softball, the Little League Urban Initiative, the Challenger Division, the Teenage baseball divisions, and the Peter J. McGovern Little league Museum. All the Facebook pages are completely interactive and each page welcomes fan comments, suggestions, and discussions. The pages are accessible at the following links:

I then received this email…please read:
For the first time since 1989, Little League International will be adding a new division of play in baseball. The official announcement will be made on the Little League web site (www.LittleLeague.org) this Monday evening, January 11. However, Facebook and Twitter fans of Little League can receive the information FIRST, on Monday morning. Signing up to be a Facebook or Twitter follower of Little League is easy. Simply click on one of the links below, and you can be among the first to hear the big news this coming Monday morning! http://www.facebook.com/LittleLeagueBaseballAndSoftball http://www.twitter.com/LittleLeague
